Beginner Clinics

We offer several clinics throughout the warmer weather seasons for anyone wanting to learn how to play.  Our members volunteer their time to organize and teach these clinics. There are 2 lessons for a total cost of $25.

  • I’m new, what do I need to play?

    • Wear sneakers. If you determine that pickleball is a sport you want to pursue, court (tennis) shoes are highly recommended.

    • Water to stay hydrated.

    • Bring a pickleball paddle if you have one.  We do have paddles for new players to borrow if needed for the clinic. If you purchase a paddle, we recommend that you purchase a graphite paddle.  Wood or plastic paddles are not recommended.

    • Clothing with pockets to hold balls is a plus.

    • Sunglasses and/or a cap for the sun is often a necessity. Many are starting to wear sport glasses to protect their eyes.

Community Outreach Clinics

The FPA enjoys connecting with other organizations and sharing our passion for the game. Are you a member of a group or organization in the Southcoast area and want to try out pickleball?  Contact us to coordinate a free 2-hour lesson for up to 20 members of your group.
